We came back from vacation to find our chickens had mites. All the pens, and chickens have been treated with seven dust and spray. We will be repeating every 7 days until they are all mite free. I was planning on collecting eggs over the next 10 days to incubate. Should I wait to incubate? Or is it ok to hatch eggs from chicks around Sevin dust and flea spray?

I would give it a go. I've had broodies who needed to be dusted while sitting on eggs, they hatched just fine. I don't sprinkle Sevin on the bedding in my nest boxes, but under it, so there's less chance of the eggs coming in contact with the pesticide. I just wouldn't feel good about eating eggs that had been laid in a nest with a bunch of pesticide in it! Another option might be DE in the nests instead (food grade).

Good luck!

I figured it would be OK, just thought I would double check. Thank you for the response...:).
