Mites and Lice?

So we recently sold one of our silkies and before we sold her we checked her for mites and saw absolutely nothing. However a few hours after we sold her, her new owner messaged us demanding we take her back and give her a refund due to the fact that she was covered in lice and mites. I have no clue how this is possible. Please help!

Sorry to hear that.

It's best to bring her back and treat her for lice and mites. Permethrin based poultry dust to dust her.
Re-check your other birds and housing. Permethrin spray for the housing, dust the birds.

I too would take her back and treat her. However she got them, the other person doesn't sound like they want or will deal with it, so for the birds sake I would take her back. And perhaps not deal with that particular person again.
