Mites and Worms

What does everyone suggest for mites and to use to worm chickens that is not harmful and will still allow you to eat the eggs. Is there anything out there that really works good?

For lice/mites you can use Sevin dust. I have read on here that people use cheyenne pepper for worms.

I use de. add a little to the food. for the worms and dust the coop, nests, and birds for the mites and lice. make sure it is FOOD GRADE. This is very importand because the wrong stuff will kill your birds. At the top right of your screen put in de or diatamatios earth ( spelling wrong sorry) and you'll find the thread that tells all about it. This is not a poison. Hope this helps

There is also Poultry Protector that Farm & Fleet sells.

Just saw an interesting video on food grade diatomaceous earth. Here's the link:

Food grade DE should work for both mites and worms and lice etc. and is edible by humans.
