Mites | Can you bathe a chicken in permethrin?

Can you bathe a chicken in permethrin? I have a bunch of Cochin Bantams that have mites. I am wondering if I have to spray them with the permethrin or is it possible that I can bathe them in it? It would be more efficient in my opinion, but what are the pros and cons of it?

Spraying would be way less traumatic and easier, especially at night while they are roosting. Also it's best to clean out the coop and spray every inch of it, before rebedding it. And what shampoo? The dose used for spraying them is way too much as a dip, probably. Haven't seen a recommended % for a dipping bath.

Spray them all and the coop no less than once a week for at least 3 weeks.

If I were in your shoes I'd be spraying every 5 days.
