I have mites. I’ve used permethrin in coop and nesting boxes. I used powder on the chicken. they are good for a moment then they’re back. I want to dip them. I have 30 so I get tired of the powdering after about the 10 th chicken. How long do I keep chicken in the dip bath. I need help asap. It’s November but still warm enough here. Please someone help me.

When I encountered mites, and that was quite some time ago.. I sprayed the interior like 7734, with bleach. Closed the coop. Kept chickens out until bleach dried up. This was summer weather, and early in the day.
Meanwhile, I added Garden sulfur to their dusting area. Kept replenishing it with more sulfur for a number of days.
When coop was all dry, I let chickens access the coop.
You with 30 chickens do have a heavy load of work. But maybe take the sulfur approach, and see if it will help.
The permethrin, is a good product, but those mites do like to hide in crevasses that may not get the permethrin into.
Not sure why your dusting is not working well enough.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :highfive:

Thanks for commenting. I spray the coop with permethrin. I’m sure I don’t do a good enough job on the dusting of them. Like I said I get tired after around 10. My chickens aren’t tamed like some. I have to catch them in a net. I put DE in the dust baths they use. So I’m gonna do dipping today.
