got sillkie roo from a friend that had mites / lice bad any sagestons on how to treat him ?

I recommend you dust him with sevin dust 5%.

I prefer to use a bath/ dip with liquid ivory soap, veggie oil for vent area after removing eggs and for the head dip a Q-tip into a bottle of Sentry Natural Defense Flea and Tick Spray and rub it through his nead and neck feathers. It is potent smelling but will do the job.
