Mites or Lice?

If you don't use the seven you can spray them with Adam's Flea and tick spray (I have not used this although I did buy some) or you can put ivomec pour on on them (this I like but there is some concern since it also acts as a wormer that some resistance could be built up (worms)). If you go in at night it is usually easier when they are not particularly tame.

ETA: Yes I used the pillowcase method once....the chicken pulled her head in the case...course we are talking about polish here so that doesn't apply to your chickens.....

I just dusted my new chicken today with Sevin. There's a good YouTube video of someone doing it but he didn't use the pillowcase method. She didn't care for it that much, but after the initial wing flapping, she calmed down and we got the business done.

I found someone selling Ivomec pour on 250ml for $20.40 plus like $5 s&h... I figure I could use that and then get some permethrin 10% to clean the coops and dust the bedding with seven 5%... Would that work?

thought surely I wasn't the only one! I want to make sure they are covered completely and always treat when I introduce new ones during the quarantine period. Never had any trouble, does take a bit of time but worth it not to have to worry about having pests
