One of my hens is looking a little scruffy. She is the only one out of 8 that looks like this. I checked her over and couldn't find any sign of mites.
As a precaution, I 7Dusted the coop and added a little to their favorite dust bath.

After watching them closely, she doesn't "assume the position" so Draco tends to fall off when he tries to mount her. I'm thinking that is the problem, combined with the fact that it's just so freakin' hot?

Sorry for the bad pictures. I was trying to hold her and take pics with my phone at the same time.
A small patch on her stomach, between her legs, looks like this as well. Actually, it just looks scruffed; almost like someone was rubbing her on the ground.

I'm thinking rooster damage, but I would continue to keep an eye out for mites.

thanks! that's what I was thinking. Like I said, she is the only one who looks like this. I dusted the coop since I haven't done it in a while anyway. I check them on a regular basis anyway. *shudder* mites...
