Mites????

Not sure if this girl has mites....we treated her with an insecticide a week ago....but it doesn't really look any better.

Did you treat your coop at the same time too?
What product did you use a week ago?

Thank you. We only treated her....the others look fine. I wasn't sure if I should treat all of them without them showing symptoms. We bought carbaryl and treated her the once...i mixed some in their dust bath as well. It says not to treat again for another 4 weeks. She's still red and lethargic looking.

Mites don't live on the birds...they live in the cracks of the coop and come out at night to eat the bird.

Get some permethrin based spray and spray the coop real well.

Get her some vitamins and electrolytes, it may help her to recover better.

Ok. We will try the spray. Thanks so much. What do you recommend for vitamins?? Did you see the pic of her ....is that what you think it May be??
