Mites

That looks good. Dust her all over. Remember you need to clean your coop and bedding out. Scrape the roosts off too. The concentrated liquid spray will go a lot further. I mix it and put it in a spray bottle for my girls and I mix it for my 5 gallon sprayer.
You'll need to treat everyone.
But, if you like the dust better, then use it. Remember to put it EVERYWHERE. I also spray my pants and shirt with it before I go to do work in the woods.

My chickens have mites. I am working on treating right now but I'm so confused at what kind of mites they are. I think they are Northern fowl mites, but they are ripping the feathers apart on my chickens I don't know what to do. This is one of the most affected chickens feathers, do you have any clue what kind of mite, might have caused this?
Those look like new pin feathers growing in....not sure how it's related to mites tho.

This is my go-to for IDing type of mite......

egg production has dropped significantly
The picture you posted is of a bird well into molt. They don't lay eggs when molting.
I want to bathe everyone
I would stop handling them as they are very uncomfortable during molt. You could also break pin feathers.
Just dust them with the permethrin based poultry dust you bought. Under each wing, in the fluff under the vent, high on their back under the hackle feathers and on the chest. Hit every bird.
I would also get some liquid concentrate permethrin and dilute it according to the directions on the bottle, put it in a pressure garden sprayer and use that solution to spray down your coop after completely cleaning it out, including the nest boxes paying close attentions to any corner or crevice where two pieces of wood come together. Let it dry and re-bed it.
Repeat the dusting of the birds and cleaning out and spraying of the coop in 7-10 days.

I gave her a cool bath to help her inflamed skin and get rid of some of the mites, and dusted her with some diatomaceous earth. This is my first time dealing with an infestation and hopefully my last 😂
I just don't want to lose any birds to them because they're pests.

Thanks for all your help!
Do you actually see "bugs" on the chickens?
The photo is of pin feathers coming in - that's not feather damage, that's new feather growth.

Are there bugs in your coop? You should be able to see and/or wipe mites up with a paper towel. If they are on the chicken, then you should be able to see them even though mites are very small.

Agree that handling birds during molt should be limited and carefully done. Bathing is not the best thing to do. Dusting/spraying birds with a permethrin product is best practice. Housing needs to be treated too.

I have seen mites on their eggs (a few days ago) , I thought she was in moult originally, but yesterday she was scratching like crazy and was acting sick ( bunched up, eyes closed, usually first to the door when I let them out to free range) I was worried because of
articles I read about chickens dying because of mites. When I look at the skin on her bottom she has lots of brown dust, dander, and eggs.

Will do. I use sand in my coop in the summer, where do I dispose of that? My chickens roam my yard.
