The other day I noticed mites running around on the wood of the run after inspecting i found some more in the coop and on the climbing roosts in the run. I have sprayed everything with permithrin. But could these mites be harmess? I read that red roost mites hide in the cracks and at night come out to feed but these are in the cracks and on other areas during the day as well.
I know other red mites are like spider mites or clover mites but I saw an orkin website talking about a southern red mite which has me wondering. Is this harmless? The permithrin spray has not got rid of them.

I don’t know honestly. I have those same bugs in my garden and they live in the wood pile so ???
