These are all over the exterior of my coop during the day. I also see some of them on the eggs when I collect them. Our coop is hard to see into, so I can't tell if they are on the roosts and other parts of the inside. I've tried checking the chickens but haven't found any mites actually on them. But they are all laying pretty well and don't seem stressed.
I first noticed them at the end of April and have been spraying the coop with diatomaceous earth occasionally, which seems to greatly reduce the population but only temporarily. I bought Elector PSP and am planning to try treating with that too.
The zoomed in pictures were taken with my digital microscope, so they are very very zoomed in. I'm also including pictures of them on a sticky sheet with a quarter for scale. They are extremely tiny.
Any help with identification and treatment suggestions would be so appreciated!!
