One of my hens has been shedding and I checked her and found two mites on her.
I have 24 other chickens. I have no idea how she got them. They’re in a closed coop on a soil floor, no new chickens and nothing other than some new feed.
She hasn’t laid any eggs in a few days, but I didn’t think anything until my daughter picked her up and her feathers started falling out.
I gave her some wormwood tincture and put it in the water for all of them, I dropped some ivermectin that I dissolved in some vodka on her back, and raked out all the feathers and scraps of food and hosed down the whole coop.
I isolated her in a cage within the coop.
My question is this, what do I buy for them, I’m assuming this will not help. I’m in Israel so I need names of what the things are or stuff I can get.
Also how do I clean a coop with mites that’s on a dirt floor?
