mites

I know lots of folks like Sevin dust, which contains Carbaryl. I personally do not use Sevin because it's higher in toxicity to humans in lab tests - - and it is highly toxic to honeybees.

I prefer ProZap poultry dust - contains Permethrins. Relatively safe for mammals and birds, can be harmful to fish and cats (?!).

My treatment of choice. Hope that helps.

I would advise Ivermec over DE as ivermec will seep into the chicken, killing mites that bite (they all die as they must bite to gain food) where as i believe DE will only kill them if they come into contact with it.
Trust me, treat it quick before it's out of control.
