I think my girls may have mites. I have been reading on BYC that people use sevin. I dont really want to use sevin. Trying to do natural eggs. I have DE feed grade.

The bottom of my coop is vinyl flooring. I was doing the deep litter method but am thinking I will need to clean out the coop. What can I clean the vinyl with? I dont want to use a water down bleach. Is there something else I could use? Vinegar?

I have four girls, I think they are golden buffs? They have been laying for the past 2 weeks. We eating eggs so am concerned on what to use?

Any help would be great,

Thanks all,

hey PHILLY! what part? i grew up in ft,washington, montgomery county. dad is from Lamant part of philly down broad, near the 309

DE will not solve your mite problem!! Must clean out the coop and vinegar might not help!
Go to meyerhatchery.com
and look for poultry protector spray...non toxic....all natural

Sevin dust works~ don't rule it out but check out that stuff

Oh how about that~ I used to work in Ft. Washington years ago! I am near Lansdale, in Montgomery County.

I see you are in Polk County. My bro lives down in Davenport. Are you near that? It is southwest of Orlando.

One more question...would a bath work? Like soap and water?

Thanks for the info! I will look at Meyers.
