Mythbusters is a favorite in this house.

The newspaper description was hilarious. I'm just very glad that no one was hurt.

I wonder how many bottles of Extra-strength Exedrine the Mythbusters' insurance agent goes through a year...."Hi, this is Jamie...we hit something again...."

Fort Picket is not too far from me, and when you drive up route 40 - you're driving THROUGH the arterilary range.

I was just thinking its no different then when a bunch of 10 year olds are out playing baseball in the street and the ball crashes through a neighbor's house. Accept this was bigger and more dangerous then a baseball!

It's ok, no one was hurt and its got everyone talking about the show ago... its not going anywhere. I enjoy watching it with hubby now and then. Always good for a laugh!

Did you see the one where they put on skintight suits, greased themselves up, slid down a HUGE ramp and into a pond?
I can't for the life of me remember what the heck they were trying to proove - but it was SOOOO funny!

In the civil war there was a Yankee navy ship at one of the battles. He was out of range of the fight with his cannons. But he figured out that if he fired strait in to a solid hillside the ball would bounce up at about 45 degrees an dramatically extend the range of his guns.

It sounds like the backstop was to hard an did not stop the ball but deflected it an extended its range just like the navy ship did.

That is the most plausible statement! I hope that IS the case what happened!
