With all the new chicks hatching sometimes they aren't all the same so I was wondering how to tell which chicks are good with each other and which ones may be a problem in the future? I am hatching silverduckwing, RIR, Star reds, Australorps, Serama, Mille fleur, Americanas, Cochin and leghorns and they wont free range but they will have plenty of room that can be divided if need be. If I raised them all together from birth would it change the outcome to a more friendly enviroment?

I would say that the vast majority of BYCers have mixed flocks. It's more the exception than the rule to just have one breed of chicken.

Chickens are chickens. They're all going to get along in some sort of a pecking order. You may have some feistier hens that pick on others, but that's not really anything to do with breed.

They'll all be fine. If you raise them from day-olds, they'll especially be fine because you wont' have to take the time to introduce them.

The only thing I notice is that various colors of birds tend to stick together--white birds hang with white birds, dark birds hang with dark birds. I don't know why.
