I have an 18 month old Red Production. I received my Bantam Buff Brahmas, 4 pullets & 1 cockrell, today. SHOULD I, add some Mille Fleue D'uccle chicks to the mix? It is outside of my comfort personality to mix things up. I would appreciate some thoughts and opinions of keeping one breed or mixing things up.

I have several different types of bantams. This pic is of my new hatchlings and their mother. The father is a mottled Cochin. And one of them is from a mottled Cochin hen and a barred rock rooster. The hen pictured below is also sitting on 2 Rhode island red eggs that have been bred with a bantam rooster so we'll see what they look like.

I can only speak for having bantams, but I have lots of breeds loving together concurrently. Cochins, japs, OEGBs, d'Uccles, sumatras, sebrights, and even a silkie at one point until he was recently rehomed. They aren't old enough to breed yet but I'm expecting some fun babies next year.
