Our 4H group all mostly live in city limits so we all keep our chickens for county fair at one of our leaders farms. On my daughters night of chicken chores we found a bantam egg in the coop with the older chickens in it. These chickens are all mixed together, full sized cochins, bantam cochins, white leghorns, japanese bantams, and a few others. At home we had a japanese bantam hen, Tulip, who just went broody with 5 eggs two days prior. We took the egg, marked it and stuck it under her. This is what I found this morning from the marked egg. Will be interesting to see what this little chick grows up to look like.
