These are Brahma rooster and partridge rock hen mix.

And here are the dads.
Beautiful birds! This is a mix I am interested in since I have a lovely light brahma roo! Are both of those roos Brahmas? I plan to breed him to several of my girls, I have RIR, BJG, WR, and one lovely BOrp! I also have some LBrahma pullets that I will breed hi to when they are ready!

The top one is a dark Brahma and the second one is a silver laced wyandotte.

finally got some pics today of her,

this is who I will be breeding her to when she is of age! he is a birchen bantm cochin!

Those are a lovely pair. So that's what that coloring on their necks is called? Birchen? I've got two EE pullets with that coloring on their collars but it's golden in one and pale lemon in the other. I'm hoping to be able to breed them to a porcelain colored EE rooster we have just to see what the babies turn out like. I also want to breed that same roo to my Buff Orpington. I'm hoping for some enormously fluffy babies with beards that lay green or olive eggs.

in cochins that's what it is called:) and that would be a cool cross

White silkie father, OEGB mother, a cute little accident. Tiny bird, only slightly larger than her mother. She thinks she's a silkie, however, and lives with them. One cross I've been dying to try is a silkie/Thai game cross. I only want to hatch one, as a yard pet to satisfy my curiosity. All other times I keep my breeds separate. I'm extremely curious to see what traits it will inherit. They're such polar opposite birds, with the Thais being so huge and tall and primitive. Here's my pair of Thais. It'll be a future endeavor, they are young still and not breeding yet.

The silkie cross is adorable! I like the idea of trying to breed such opposites, you could be creating a Frankenstein LOL! I am keeping mostly large breed birds (they must earn their keep here) but I think the silkies are precious. I have an idea to cross a silkie with a little hamburg to see if you could get the silkie temperament and "hat" with the SSH coloration!!!

It was interesting to see the different traits of both birds, even though they were the same mix.

These guys are all from a barred rock rooster over slw/glw hens. They all got rose combs, and one's barring is still good enough I've had folks swear he was a Dominique. They're destined for the freezer, and seem a fairly nice sized meaty cross. Started with hatchery stock.

This poor molting girl is one of my brown leghorn/ee crosses. The ee was basically the same color as the brown leghorn, and I got puffy cheeks, funky combs, yellow legs and hens that lay huge light green eggs.

Then, just for fun (getting into mixes of mixes, a little off topic) I put her back under a bsl rooster and got this handsome guy. Don't have pics, but some of the roosters from this same cross are nicely dark barred, with straight combs and puffy cheeks. I also got yellow legs.
