This is my "mixed" roo.. no clue what his dad was but his mom was a barred rock.. (so I'm told) he's 6 months old and bigger than my Jersey giant hen.. he's a nice sized boy! I wish I knew what he was mixed with, I call him Junior-- he's so darn sweet.. In the first pic he's 4 months old.. That's my california white rock who he's standing next to..
Here is my cross bred hen. She was a BO (Roo) x Salmon Faverolle (hen).
I lost her and all those chicks to a racoon. So so sad. One picture of her as a chick and one of her with her chicks. The hen with her is the broody who raised her. The chicks with her are a cross between a Columbian Rock (Roo) x various.
EDIT: Didn't mean to post twice, sorry everyone. tbc
I have some Black Olive Egger x Wyandotte chicks. I am wondering if anyone would object to me posting them when they're a bit older because the mommas are OE's and not really purebred. Although I do believe the mommas are the product of someone's breeding project(at least a couple generations in). I bought them in a batch of 14 chicks and they were all identical, bearded and jet black.
The chicks from this cross are mainly white/black, black, blue.
