Mixed color ameraucana or Easter egger.

I was back and forth about his shanks myself. I'm on a phone so hard to tell.
They do look slate to me but I can see maybe some green tint if i try hard enough so IDK.

Blue egg genes are seperate from brown egg genes.
With the blue you have blue or non blue (white) so they can carry two genes for blue or two genes for white or one of each.
Blue is dominate to white so yes one blue gene and one white gene will lay blue.
You rooster if crossed and only carries one blue gene will have a 50/50 chance of passing on the blue.
Go ahead and breed him to your brown egg layers and if he produces only green egg layers you'll know he's pure. If he produces any brown egg layers you'll know he wasn't pure and can then deal with the headaches.

true I mean either way there Easter eggers. I am curious how he got that coloring though. Maybe I should try messaging the original owners. I’ve got 2 5 month old pure ameraucana cockerels anyway so I’ve got the blue egg gene in my flock.
