Mixed duck question

I have a mixed duckling of unknown parentage. Everyone was thinking Muscovy by the baby pics but obviously it is not. I have no idea what it is. Will it get a drake curl if it is male? It only has a peep, sort of muscovyish sound when picked up. No quack and doesn't sound like my male runners did. Any ideas on breed?

If it has muscovy in it then i dont think it will get the tail curl. Im still thinking muscovy X mallard cross.

Unfortunately I think its a boy. That makes 1 girl 5 boys.

It is 9 weeks and about the size of my muscovy female who is about 14 weeks.

Luck of the draw i guess. There has been a couple adds for muscovies in our area. Maybe you could ask for a trade? Or freezer camp and then breed the one female you do have and hope for better odds?

I was planning on freezer camp but someone on BYC is interested in my excess drakes. I think I will just keep a pair and wait til spring for ducklings.

He looked like a muscovy as a duckling. I got him from someone who bought him at a flea market. Down here, he probably is a muscovy cross.
