Not sure where to start! So.. I think it’s a diet issue.. Within 2-3 weeks I’ve had a hen with sour crop- impacted crop. Then had a different hen have a egg break inside her. Today I’ve noticed another hen with swollen feet. I believe it to be gout. But haven’t gotten to fully inspect her. I’ve recently switched food from layers to flock raiser and provided oyster shells free choice because I have chicks being raised by mama hen in the flock. Am I mistaken for switching to flock raiser? Should I go with grower? The hen with swollen feet also has a pretty dirty bum. I’m think it has something to do with it?

Most chicken feed brand's all flock and grower type feeds are pretty much the same.

Your problems do not sound like They were caused from switching to and all flock type feed.

Can you get pictures of the swollen foot hen?
Can you also get pictures of some fresh poop?
And do you feed anything besides the complete balanced chicken feed?

Sorry I forgot something...
How old are your birds and how recently did you add new birds to your flock?

I can get pictures today. I feed scratch occasionally. But in the last few weeks not at all. Banana.. squash.. they haven’t free ranged in almost 2 weeks. The hens range from 1-2 years. Hen with swollen feet is just over 1. It’s both feet that are equally swollen. That’s what makes he think gout and not bumble.

All morning I’ve been waiting for her to lay an egg.. it looks healthy. Vent seems ok.. just dirty. I did recently treat my flock with corid because I suspected bloody poop from younger birds. They got vitamins for a full day after. That treatment was finished on Tuesday. Her bum has been dirty before this treatment. But her feet weren’t like this.

Also I’ve introduced 2 ameracuna chicks in the last month. They are 3 months old. Had them separated totally in the coop for about 2 weeks. They have been allowed out to mingle recently while I was around to watch. All has been well so far. They are the once I suspected with coccidia.

And her poo now.

Do make sure that the oyster shell is seen by everyone, and not being missed. One of my hens, this spring, had then shells, until I moved the oyster shell feeder near the door to outside. She's now producing normal egg shells, maybe a coincidence, maybe not.
I too feed Flock Raiser, good for all the birds, love it.
