Mixed flock. South American breed...male or female?

We have 9 chicks from our first hatch and they are a mixed bunch. 2 silkies, 4 cochins with frizzle gene, 1 black orpington, and 2 surprise south americans. Any guesses on gender would really help. This is Lavender, one of the South Americans.

Wanted to add a photo of the 2nd South American: Bandit. Both are 3 weeks old.

first is a pullet, second is a cockeral. Cockerals ofter feather in slower and thier combs get red faster.
