I just had a question. We are thinking of getting a mixed order of egg chickens meat chickens and turkeys can we put all of them in the same brooder together or should we separate them?

Thanks
Lily

Personally I would keep all three separate. Especially the turkeys, you can however keep meaties and layers together. But if it was up to me the meaties and turkeys would have separate brooders. I would think meaties would hog all the food up.

I brood my chicks and poults together. I think the chicks teach the poults how to use the feeders and drinkers faster than they would learn otherwise. Meat birds and the broad breasted turkeys will need to be separated out sooner since they'll quickly outgrow non-hybrid chicks and poults.
