Mixed up Hen..... please advise

My hens just started to lay last week. They were using the boxes just fine untill one lame brain got the idea to start laying on the floor in the corner of the coop, now they all are. How do I get them now to stop and start using the boxes again? LOL

Drop the boxes to the floor or put fake eggs inside the nest boxes. Both can work and eventually, you can gradually lift the boxes back up to a higher level. Some just feel better on the floor, so I always offer a floor level nest for those hens.

my silkies lay in a doghouse inside the hen house. It seems to be what makes them feel safest and they are egg laying machines (except right now they are egg hatching machines)
