Mixes chicken, mixed eye color?

I’m still pretty new to chickens and had a broody hen hatch out one mixed chick, BPR x Silkie bantam. He’s cute and just started crowing at about 12 weeks. However, I was carrying him around yesterday and noticed that one eye is golden, the other is 2/3 golden and 1/3 dark. I don’t see any sign of injury, but I’ve never noticed this before. Is this normal for mixed breeds?

Hopefully it is not Mereks disease. You might want to read up on some of the articles about Mereks on the site, because I think there is an ocular form.
