Last question of the day. I promise.
I have a hen who just hatched a clutch of 7 chicks.
I have another hen who is sitting on a nest and if they hatch will bestow another brood of chicks upon us.
I have a small coop/lawn tractor. I am thinking about moving both hens and their broods together into the tractor.
This will mess up the pecking order a bit with my free ranging White Leghorns and my TSC pullets but I don't want to mix the chicks in with either set of chickens until they are a bit older.
Are hens less aggressive toward other hens with broods?
