Is it ok to put different breeds of baby chicks together. I am going to a chicken swap this Saturday and wanted to make sure that if I buy different baby chicks it is ok to put them together. Thanks for your help.

The different breeds don't matter. You can see in my signature what breeds I raised together. What is important is getting them about the same age. More mature chicks are more likely (not an absolutely, happens every time, disaster is sure to follow, will not fail, just more likely) to pick on younger chicks, sometimes causing injury or even fatalities. Age is more important than size as it is more a matter of maturity than strength. Some people mix chicks of very different ages and don't have problems while others try it and wish they had not. A lot depends on the personalityof the individual chick.

I have very mixed batch of breeds, but I am only 3 weeks into this! I read that if they grow up together they do not notice their differences. However, for example, if you try to introduce a creasted breed into a flock of uncreasted, they will pick on them becasue they are strange to them.
Everybody is getting along well so far!
