Mixing breeds?

So I currently have a Pekin and khaki Campbell. They are coming up on 4 weeks and I’m unsure of their sexes... however I’m concerned I may have a male and female (today I heard the first quack which sounded male) and am considering ordering more eggs to even out the flock and avoid any aggression or overbreeding in the future. I’m wondering if I’ll have a problem mixing breeds? I’d like to diversify with Cayuga, Rouens, buffs, and Swedish. Will I have a problem with any of these together?

I would wait until they are 5-6 weeks to be sure you have a male. If you heard a "quack" I'd say it was probably a female. Mixing breeds shouldn't be problem. You just have to pay attention to your drake if he is much larger than the girls. For instance a Pekin is going to be significantly larger than a KC. Even my Swedish drake is about twice the size of my KC girls. I think a mixed flock will be fun and I don't see any reason they shouldn't get along. Consider ordering sexed females if you can.
