Mixing Breeds ?

I am going to get some Cayuga ducks. Can i keep other breeds with them such as Runner ducks ect? Would that be a problem? Does anybody know ? I bought a couple of duck books but they dont have the answer.

I have never had any problems with mixing breeds of ducks together. I have Indian Runners, Pekins and an Aylesbury all living together happily.

As with humans - Ducks all have different personalities and occasonally there will be a duck with an attitude- But generally speaking most ducks do tend to get along with each other.
Only reason I have to seperate my ducks is during a breeding season when I want to keep each breed sperated so I dont get cross bred babies.

Yeah, you can have different breeds together. You might have some mixed breed ducklings though
