Hello everyone, Been a while since I been in here and I have a question. I see a lot of pics with full grown hens / roos with little ones right along with them. If chicks are born into the flock, ie never removed from the coop, does everyone naturally accept them? So why can't I introduce new / feathered out chicks to the flock, and hope someone takes 'em under thier "wing"???

I always kept our younger ones separated and in a run that is next to the older ones. Once they all get used to each other about 2 weeks in our case then I open a area of wire and they all mingle a few days then I put them all in the main coop.
Right now we have young that will be worked in that way and we have a broody with chicks that is in the main coop, right now I have chicken wire separating them but in a week or two I'll open that momma will protect them
