Mixing Chicks Together

I'm new at this but have read in several places that mixing turkeys and chicks together was a bad idea... not sure on the reasoning (think it was even mentioned in the McMurry catalogue) might want to check it out. (I had thought to do the same a one point that's why I noticed)

Yeah, that is what they say in my book also, but i had two turkeys, one died the first day i got it and so the other one was all alone, and not eating too much and lonely so now he is in with the chicks, I am taking a chance with him. Hopefully he makes it. If after a week he does well, I might put him separately , after reading alot on this website, some say its ok, some say its not, with all do respect, I decide to give it a try. Thanx for the advice!!
