Hi i have a question. I have 4 chicks 2 weeks old on a brooder ill be getting 4 chicks 3 day old tomorrow should i separate them from the 2 week old chicks?
Thanks in Advance

I would keep them together. That should be fine. If your new chicks are getting mailed, maybe give them one day to rest before they have to deal with the big ones.
I would buy them here in the city. How long before i can put them in the coop i love in Phoenix Arizona and the lowest int these days have been 55 degrees and highest 88

You can try having them together in the brooder but I'd keep an eye on them the first couple of days to make sure there's no issues. Be prepared to separate them if necessary. Wire mesh would be a suitable separator wall.

Do you have electricity out to the coop? Any other chickens at the moment? You could just brood in the coop if you can run electricity out there. With your temperatures they can be out there easily by 4 weeks - though if you're raising 2 different age groups together I would put them all out at the same time, so there's no need to reintroduce them.

I just had almost the same scenario where I introduced 2 day olds to 2 two week old chicks. I kept my eye on them, and they seemed fine at first. Then pecking began to happen, but more out of curiosity, not aggression. It seems like the older chicks would get a little annoyed by the 2 day olds and would peck as a way to push them away.
I decided to add a divider to the brooder and they were doing great. Next thing I know, I went to check on them and the 2 week old chicks had flown over the divider to be with the babies!! Haha! There hasn’t been any pecking since and they are doing great together!

Thanks for sharing your experience. I would keep an eye on them. They have been 3 days together and everything seems ok.
