Mixing colours?

hi everyone! I have a pair of pastel call ducks and for this season I am sticking to pastels. They are show quality and I have done quite well at shows with them. My question is if I get other colors next season, say blue bibbed that were also show quality and I crossed the colors (just for a fun mix) could I show the mixed offspring as AOV? Could they still do well if they have nice body type? please move this thread if it's not in the right place

I don't show poultry, so I wouldn't know for sure, but I think color is very important in show birds and that if the color was not up to perfection then they wouldn't do well, even with good body type. Again, I could be wrong.
