Mixing Cornish Rock and Barred Rock

Can anyone tell me if you can mix Cornish Rock chicks with Barred Rock chicks? I don't want to get them and then they kill each other.

I dont see why you couldnt. But I dont know much about chickens, only ducks sorry.

I have done it before for 3 yrs in many different pens as part of a project I worked on, they got along sterling. There were no issues at all, hatched and raised together is a great way as they are all a family group. So yes by all means go for it if that's what's on your plate.

I am planning to take these Barred Rock when they get big enough and mix with my other flock of Barred Rock at night. I hope this will work.

Does anyone know if you can take these young Barred Rock out of one group and mix with their own kind in another flock...if it is done at night?
