Can you raise chicken and ducks together

Ducks are very messy with the waterer and they has very liquid poop so it's best not to brood them together, housing them to get her as adults can work but once again ducks make a mess with water because they need to drink as they eat, and sometimes there's a problem with ducks trying to mate with chickens and vise versa.

If a male duck breeds with a female chicken, he can kill her because their anatomy is not compatible.
