We had to cull our small flock and are starting over. We've picked an assortment of breeds and I'm curious if they'll (generally) get along. I know being raised together from chicks will help. We will have these hens...
1 silkie bantam
2 rocks
2 speckled Sussex
2 easter eggers
2 wyndottes

All of them will do fine together as long as they are not overcrowded; with the possible exception of your Silkie bantam. I would keep a careful eye on your Silkie's physical condition as you may find that she is being seriously battered by the larger standard breeds. We had that happen with our Silkies and had to remove them from the main flock and keep them in their own separate enclosure.

Agree with Michael. I've had all those breed together but the silkie and they've done fine. The silkie may be the odd man out, especially having just one. you might rethink that breed, or consider getting a pair and housing them separate.

Our 3 year old begged us for her. She has already named her 'marshmallow'. We can definitely separate her if need be but I hope she will be able to be a happy member of the flock.
