mixing your own chicken feed

Do any of you mix your own chicken feed. if so would please share the ingredients and the amounts you put in it. I would like to start making my own since feed prices are going up.

Oh ok I thought it would have been cheaper to make your own feed. Corn prices are just going up for no reason.

All prices are going up for "no" reason - our world is falling apart! That's why some of us are growing chickens in the backyard for the eggs, maybe some meat (if we're brave enough to slaughter them). I'm even considering starting a rabbit raising project, for meat. Problem with that is, the darn things are so cute! How to kill it? I hear rabbit meat is excellent in taste, protien, etc.

My husband is watching the economy closely, and says that we will have food riots -

That worries me a lot - we are used to eating a few times per day -

I plan to sell eggs to make my hens pay for their feed! Also they get to free range each evening, so they find their own food!

I know I just cant butcher something I was raising quail and butchering them for people. That didnt last long though.
