I posted an earlier problem about 2 weeks ago. The chicks I received from MM in the end of February were sick. We sent one of the chicks to MSU for necropsy. The pathologist diagnosed Avian Encephalomyelitis. The necropsy cost $140, and it was worth the piece of mind to know, that was why we had a problems keeping our chicks alive.
I contacted MM yesterday and they were very helpful and accomodating with our chick loss and remaining birds that survived the disease but now have varying forms of leg deformity. We spoke to customer service and when she was unable to answer our questions, she offered us someone who could. They are replacing our chicks. They apologized for the inconvenience that this caused us.
I will gladly give them another chance. The next time I have problems with chicks shipped from a hatchery, I will call them sooner, instead of trying to figure it out myself. It is not easy to diagnose Chicken Diseases...Thank Goodness I have this Forum.

Thanks for sharing your results, those of us with sick chicks really appreciate the efforts that those of you who got the diagnosis put forth. I would PM a mod, and they can add your results to the results post.
