MMH Shipping and Timeframe question

It could be a combination of things, including the combination of chicks you ordered and quantities. The date you were given is likely the date when your combination is first available.

On the upside, you will get to enjoy the anticipation that much longer and will be just as happy if not more so when the fuzzy butts arrive.

They only want to ship to you once, and will ship the soonest that ALL of your chicks will be available.

It could be that they were sold out until then for some of your birds. That happenened when I ordered mine... some were available 2/18, some 2/25, and some 3/3... I wouldn't have gotten them until the 3/3 chicks were ready, so I dropped the chicks that weren't available and got the whole shipment on 2/25. That's pretty much how it works.

As for separating the cornish from the leghorns? You'll figure that out in 3-5 days... the cornish grow like WEEDS, and their legs are 2-3 times as thick as regular standard birds.

I did the same thing, and had to pick 3 non-cornish out of 20 birds... it was pretty easy after the first few days!

Be patient on your chickies, and make sure everything is in order before they arrive... heat source, vitamins, chick starter, non-slip matting for their feet... the works. And congratulations! Your babies will be here before you know it!!

I just ordered 75 chicks from MM on March 10.
25 Cornish X-Rocks,and 50 Mixed Brown egg layers.

The X-rocks are scheduled to arrive April 28, and the Egg layers will be here May 19.

I think you are doing great if you ordered today and will get chicks on April 21.

Just look at it this way you chicks will ship in the warmer weather
