mocking birds are back

It must be spring (at least in Bakersfied, CA)

, I heard a mocking bird the other day. And I actually scrubbed everything because I wanted to, not because I had to.

We used to have a mocking bird that sat in the tree in my mom's back yard hollering TACO! My cats name. I think he ate her.

That's weird. I just noticed this am that I could hear the Killdeer. they'll be keeping me up at night in the next few weeks when they start mating. They "scream" all night long for about a week or two.
