I scored a very sturdy 2x3 wooden doghouse off craigslist for $15. Once I get a door on it will most definitely be predator proof.
I’ll also be adding shingles too as I ripped the old ones off.

My current dilemma is... how do I modify it to introduce an appropriate amount of ventilation?

All other tips and suggestions on mods are welcome!

How many chicken do you have? This isn't very big....really, only enough room for 1. Or will you use it for a broody hen and chicks?

Oh, no broodies and chickes for me!
It’s for 3 silkies bantams. They’re in the bigger coops right now, but I want to get a second smaller and lower silkie only coop up so I can quit my job as their personal coop elevator every morning and evening 😩

Here it is once I opened it up. I removed all the insulation from the front and back so that there would be air flow. I also removed the inside plywood ceiling that was attached to the struts that you see in this picture.
