Modification of Coop

After Unfortunately losing 2 of our 3 chickens - i wanted some feedback on the coop i built them back in january this year. Im wanting to add a nesting box or 2

im thinking maybe a nesting box or 2 either on the left of pic 3 - should it be similar height to the bar?

the roosting bar runs across the width of the house (pics 3 and 4)

Everything I was taught you want the roosting bar higher than the boxes. Chickens want to roost at the highest spot, the boxes are too close they will roost in the boxes and make a mess of them.

Nests should be lower than roosts, so if you want nests where you indicated, you may want to try raising the roosts a little. If the birds are already roosting without issue, you might get away with it, hard to say.
