Stephani bit down hard, and tried to limp away.

They bolted off in blurs of gray, winding themselves around boulder and shrub, their wagging tails trailing behind them. They stopped at the base of a hill in the mainlands, crouching al at once behind the grand hill, mostly concealed in grass.

Dusty saw their glaring eyes and their swishing tails. Her amber eyes grew wide and she wailed in alarm, "WOLVES!"

Twilight cringed from the pain, but went back to Stephani. "Come on, were going back to Skyherd until you eat something." She pulled her around and walked her back to Skyherd.
