Bandit looked around for a minute, and then snarled at Apollo. "You stay there for a minute." Then he walked over to Layla. "Look, I have -- had -- two. YOU. ARE. NOT. MY. MOOOOMMM!!"

"I know! Well, you have one now, and she's gone... With Adelphie! The foal you named! They are GONE! Why don't you understand that family comes before a mare that already has a mate?!..." Layla yelled. She then settled down, and turned to Rufus. "Let's go look for them..." She sighed, walking away.

"Well," Rufus mused, his British accent still strong. "Either he really doesn't like your mom and so he's not looking for her, something I can understand; or he can't really grasp it. Or he just is too grieved to do anything."
