"I already have him started," replied Bella, indicating with a sway of her head to Warlock, who was licking and pulling at clovers. He mulled them around in his mouth until they were a bitter pulp and he looked bemusedly at Bella, his expression seemingly speaking for itself: "I'm supposed to eat this crud?"

Bella stifled sniggers, "You're not supposed to chew it that much, Warlock! Swallow it and try again," Bella said, before looking at Ace, shaking her head and laughing, "He'll get the hang of it eventually..."

Ace nuzzled her, and nudged Warlock along, until they came upon a grassy area. "Chew." He said simply.

Warlock tugged at the grass and gathered a large bunch in his mouth and chewed, then glanced at Ace as though for reassurance that he was doing it correctly.

"Mmmkay," he said, his voice muffled by the mouthful of grass. He swallowed it and winced slightly. It didn't just rush down his throat like the milk did, it slithered and it had a strange texture. This was going to take some getting used to.
