Levi had been wandering for hours, grazing far from SkyHerd. Now he was out of the Farther Pastures and not within sight range of even the tallest wisp of grass in the SkyHerd territory. He was lonely by now and quite full with grass, clover, and daisies. He spied an apple tree and a field full of horses whom he suspected to be SkyHerd, although something in the back of his brain asked him how and why his herd had traveled this far. Levi pushed the thought away, not wanting to be troubled by it. He started toward the apple tree and, when he'd had a few apples, trotted toward the field of horses.

Pheobe pranced around and whinnied loudly in her high pitched voice, splashing through the shallow part of the water and getting it all over the nearby others. Dahlia came up from not too far and took a big gulp.
