From where he stood Remus glared down from the slope and to where Columbia stood. His eyes flashed as he saw Yang and Sprite being attacked, but powerless to do anything about it. To his relief, Columbia left them alive, though harmed.

When Sprite returned, Remus trotted over to her. Unsure of what else to do, he began licking her wounds. "Sprite, you need to stay away from him! You've been attacked twice now, the third time . . ." he swallowed, and decided not to continue. Satisfied that her wounds were clean, he turned to glance down into the valley. "Where's Yang headed?"

Columbia kicked Yang out... and made me choose between her and you/the rest of the herd.... so i chose to stay w/ the herd. but i was sassy and made him mad which was actually pretty funny....

"I bet you did!" chuckled Remus as he stared down at the herd. "I don't think Yang will have any trouble--she'd pick with even the largest stallion if she could." Suddenly he frowned. "Is it just me, or is Columbia half an ear shorter?"

The stallion cringed, and he couldn't help but flick his ear in sympathy. "Poor Columbia," he agreed, realizing which horse had actually come off worse from the conflict. For a moment he stood, staring anxiously down at the herd. "Sprite, can I ask you something?"
